Start with thanks for what they have already given.

Check the new amount, date or pause length.

Do it now, or give the exact steps and timing.

Tell them which payment is the first affected.

Mention a lower amount or a pause instead of cancelling.

Send a short note once the change is done.

Only if it is easy to answer. A short, optional question is fine.

Honour it quickly and thank them. Never make it hard.
