Who runs Flatdesk
Last updated October 12, 2026
Flatdesk is built and sold by Flatdesk, and its terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. It opened to paying teams in October 2026.
How new it is
Very. There are no customer logos or reviews on this site because we'd rather show none than make them up. If you need references from teams your size who have used Flatdesk for months, we can't give you those yet, and you should weigh that.
What you can check yourself: the AI test drive on your own tickets, a free trial with no card, the security page (including what's missing), and the data processing addendum.
How it's built
The app is a Next.js site on Vercel with a Postgres database on Neon. Sign-in is Clerk, payments are Stripe, outgoing email is Resend, and the AI is Anthropic's Claude. Those are the same providers listed on the security page, and nothing else touches your tickets.
Every change goes through a pull request and a preview deployment, and the automated tests run before it ships. That includes tests that check one team can't read another team's tickets. The price is flat because each AI answer costs us cents and the AI stops at its cap, which is explained on the pricing page.
Who it's not for
Teams that need phone, SMS or social channels, an app marketplace, a SOC 2 report or an uptime commitment should pick something else today. The full list and the security gaps are written out, and so is where other help desks are ahead.
If Flatdesk shuts down
A small vendor can disappear, so here is what we commit to in the terms: at least 90 days' notice by email to every admin, the app and the full export (attachments included) working for all of that time, and no new charges after the notice. Your data then gets deleted, not sold.
Talk to a person
Email hello@flatdesk.app. There's no sales team, so you'll hear from whoever wrote the code. Security questionnaires, a countersigned DPA, or a call before you decide: ask, and you'll get a reply within one business day.
